The search for the origins of human perception of such concepts as beauty and ugliness in a multicultural world has become an interesting adventure for me, filled with many discoveries. In an attempt to find answers to the questions “what is beauty and what is ugliness?” I turned to my background. The background of a person born in the Orthodox capital of Russia, and who experienced the influence of religious aesthetics.

Studying aspects of Christian life (Orthodox and Catholic) led me to the idea of ​​the importance of such a concept as “duality” for the formation of a special attitude towards the “beautiful” and “ugly” in adherents of the Christian faith.

"Let's Pray" is a study of how easily canonical images of European Christian culture are destroyed when they are exposed to digital manipulation and the photo emulsion method.

In a dialogue with famous Renaissance painters, familiar scenes from the life of Christ, angels and saints are transformed in such a way as to focus the viewer's attention on the rapid process of transition from the beautiful to the terrible.
